There are times when it makes sense to run “behind” a tunnel (around the outside). This may weird out your dog unless you specifically train for it. Following up on the Building a Skill workshop, these exercises show you step-by-step what to do to introduce this concept to your dog and hone his performance.
5-11-22: Lead Outs
There are times when you can’t guide your dog successfully from the startline without leading out. The 2021 Cynosport Steeplechase Finals offer a fine case in point. 5-4-22: Run with Your Dog from the Startline
Barbara and Rorie 4pm These two “no lead-out” exercises force you to problem-solve as if you were mid-course. One’s a serpentine exercise; the other presents a weave–double-jump challenge.
4-27-22: Keep Moving
