7-10-21: AKC Nationals course
Susan Giordano was watching the AKC Nationals. The Excellent Std course starts with a long, S-shaped sweep of jumps to the weaves. It tripped up a lot of dogs. Here’ s your chance to take a crack at it and see what works for you and your dog.
7-7-21: Contact-Tunnel Discriminations
These exercises offer practice on getting your dog to the right obstacle but also in flipping your dog into the tunnel away from you. In planning your run, think as well about where you want to be after the contact obstacle or tunnel.
6-30-21: Serps, Threadles, Tunnels
This portion of an Excellent AKC JWW course per Steve Larson offers great practice on serpentines and threadles. With serpentines, keep moving, and figure out ahead of time where you want to be at the end of the serpentine. That’ll largely dictate which side of the serpentine you want to be on.
7-3-21: Practicing Backsides of Jumps
Here’s the exercise Kristen Bartoli offered us to practice sending our dogs to the backsides of jumps. USE WINGS (it’s safer for the dog that way).
